Why do retainers wear out?
How often should I replace my retainer?
The average person should really replace their retainer every 6 months if the goal is to maintain their orthodontic result and protect their teeth like a dentists family would. Our retainer subscription program makes it easy to stay ahead of wear instead of waiting until it’s too late.
What happens if my teeth have already shifted?
If your teeth have moved slightly, we can usually correct that with a few new aligners that will move you back into the ideal position that can then be held with retainers. If the shift is more significant, we may recommend a short corrective treatment plan before moving back into retention.
Is this subscription right for me?
The retainer subscription program is right for anyone looking to make sure the investment they made in their smile is protected. Whether it is through the better fitting and cleaner retainers delivered to your door every 6 months, or the savings from a reduced cost for a replacement retainer if you ever lose one or have dental work done between new sets, the program is a game changer for protection. It’s ideal for anyone who has completed orthodontic treatment and wants long-term protection.
Do I need to be a Gladwell patient to join?
Nope! If you’ve had orthodontic treatment anywhere, you’re welcome to join. We simply need to scan your teeth so we can make accurate retainers.
How does the $1/day billing work?
You’ll be billed automatically each month—similar to a subscription—at just about $30 per month. You get new retainers annually, plus discounts and perks if you ever need more.
What if I lose my retainer?
We’ve all been there—don’t panic! As a member, you’ll get discounted replacement retainers, and in most cases, we can make additional retainers from your existing scan.
