Dr. Frank Rudey
Dr. Frank Rudey grew up in Silicon Valley in Los Altos, California. While studying at UNC, he fell in love with North Carolina and its people—and even met his wife there!
After returning to Seattle to practice, Dr. Rudey was honored to be selected by his dental peers for recognition in Seattle Magazine’s 2006 Top Dentists issue. After 20 memorable years of solo practice, he and his family moved back to North Carolina to be closer to loved ones.
As a practitioner, Dr. Rudey finds great joy in seeing how his patients’ lives are transformed when they achieve the straight, attractive, and healthy smiles they’ve always wanted. He looks forward to meeting you!

Dr. Lauren Wiese
Dr. Lauren Wiese began her career as an orthodontist in New Jersey, where she practiced for four years before moving to North Carolina, which she now calls home. Her husband, Dr. John Nelson, attended his orthodontic residency at UNC in Chapel Hill. She is passionate about making the world a better place—one smile at a time!
In her free time, Dr. Wiese loves spending time with John and Alex, traveling, eating, and staying active—she even completed her first sprint triathlon last year! She is thrilled to join the Gladwell Orthodontics team and continue creating beautiful smiles.

Dr. Maura Partrick
Dr. Maura Partrick is the only orthodontist in North America who has been trained as a designer at Align Technology. Believing that orthodontics is both an art and a science, she also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them achieve their orthodontic goals and is excited about the opportunity to serve patients and families at Gladwell Orthodontics.
Dr. Partrick’s interests include spending time with her family, music, and relaxing at the beach—any beach is just fine with her! She also has a new miniature poodle that keeps her busy in her free time. When you meet her, feel free to challenge her with some music trivia!

Dr. Philip Worthington
Dr. Philip Worthington grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. He began his career as a corporate and securities attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he practiced for two years. After realizing his true passion lay elsewhere, he decided to pursue dentistry.
Dr. Worthington practiced as a general dentist for four years at the David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Base in California and continues to serve as a dentist in the Air Force Reserve at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro. He loves the field of orthodontics because of the opportunity it provides to connect with patients while working together to design beautiful smiles.
Dr. Worthington lives in Durham with his wife, Jamie, and their five children: Wade, Norah, Holl, Avy, and Mary Graham. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with Jamie, taking Wade fishing, visiting local bookstores with Norah, coaching Holland’s soccer team, practicing volleyball with Avy, attending Mary Graham’s gymnastics competitions, and following UVA sports.
